Horizon With Labour
Writ Petition filed alleging that certain persons have been held as bonded labourers in a brick kiln of Saharanpur, UP. The Apex Court directed the DM, Saharanpur to visit the brick kiln where the labourers were allegedly held as bonded. The Dm, recorded the statements of those persons and reported to the Court that they intend to go to som other place for employment but do not wish to avail any assistance from the State Government by way of rehabilitation. The Court directed the respondents to allow these persons to leave the brick kiln premises and to ensure that teh brick kiln owner does not restrain them from doing so by threat of force or otherwise.
