Trade & Labour Rights

The focus of the department is to study the impact of bilateral and multilateral trade, and trade policies of government on labour and employment (including subsistence farmers, self-employed, informal workers, cross border migrants). In particular, it is looking at trade in agricultural commodities, manufactured goods, and services. It also addresses Corporate Social Responsibility from a producing country labour perspective

It also addresses Corporate Social Responsibility from a producing country labour perspective. Another key area under this department is the impact of World Trade Organisation, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and International Financial Institutions on Indian workers.
