Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Delhi High Court based on the Sewage Workers Study Report
As a part of National Campaign for the Dignity and Rights of Sewage and Allied Workers, a Dalit rights group, HRLN (Human Right Law Network) filed a PIL against four separate New Delhi municipal agencies. This seeks for improvement in the safety conditions of sewage workers in Delhi. Earlier, CEC conducted a study on health and safety status of sewage workers in Delhi. The report of this study named ‘Hole to Hell’ became evidence in this case.
