Report: ‘Bi-National Perspective on Offshore Outsourcing: A Collaboration Between Indian and US Labour'
The report ‘Bi-National Perspective on Offshore Outsourcing: A Collaboration Between Indian and US Labour' is based on the study conducted in the 249 call centres workers from three main call centres: Convergys, Accenture and Wipro Spectramind in Mumbai and Delhi. The formal release of the report was held on October 18, 2006 in Delhi and Mumbai. It was an outcome of collaboration among Communication Workers of America (CWA); Centre for Education and Communication (CEC); Jobs with Justice (JwJ); New Trade Union Initiative (NTUI) and Young Professionals Collective (YPC). The report uncovered work organisation, human resource management and the nature of employment and their impact on employees in some selected call centres in India.
